The cult classic tv show twin peaks is known for its many side plots and one of the most famous of these is the fire walk with me . This fan edit was created by /r/twinpeaks moderator snoopy The creators of this edits goal was to create a short, organized video displaying the entirety of the episode in around 17 minutes without any advertisements getting in your way. This edit was made to show viewers who have not seen this episode yet, what they are missing out on. As the creators of this fan edit stated, the main purpose is to show the audience what they are missing out on. This edit falls short of it's goal with an occasional glimpse of some details that were left out, but overall it was a good effort by the creators. One would be wondering why someone would want to reformat a tv show into a shorter video since most people who watch streaming shows do not want to watch things that are longer than 10+ hours. In making this fan edit the makers were able to include the entire film in the space of 17 minutes. In doing this they made it so that fans who have not been exposed to this film yet, have a very short clip of what they are missing out on. On a side note netflix users will be disappointed with this edit since it is only a shortened version of a longer film, and might want to seek out other alternatives where they can watch multiple full episodes at once. On the same note people who have seen the original episode will find little value in watching such an edit since there is no additional footage added, and what you see is basically what you get. The edit is based around the general idea of fan edits. This edit was made for fun and it's creators where not trying to give the audience anything that they do not already have. It was just to entertain them in a way that they may enjoy since it would be easier than watching the whole film. On netflix twin peaks fire walk with me is rated 6.7/10, so it is hard to say whether this edit will get many views or if anyone will like it since this film has an average rating. On youtube there is a complete version of the film that people can watch at their own leisure. The fan edit was not made to show the audience something they do not already have, but instead only to make it easier for them to enjoy it. Since there is no added footage and what you see is exactly what you get, the only benefit you would be getting from watching this movie would be a faster and easier way to see the entire episode, otherwise this edit has little value for those who have seen the original film already.
